The girls that greeted me like a friend, the moms that welcomed me like family, and the couple that pretty much just fell out of a bridal magazine made this wedding day unbeatable. Danny and Sarah walked through the day with unwavering smiles and love for each other, surrounded by too many family and friends to count. If you ask me, that’s the best way to end one heck of a year ; )
Best Engagement Shoot Locations in NYC
Every neighborhood, every corner, and every street in this city are as unique as the couples living here. To start, as cliche as Central park may sound, (and believe me, I’ve met some skeptics ; ) ! ) it’s still one of my favorite places to run around with a camera. Each region has it’s own types of trees and landscape, making every turn into a new backdrop.
A close second favorite spot is the west village. If I had a secret wish to live in any neighborhood, it would be here. Cobblestone underfoot, magical hidden tiny streets, and stoops you can sit on to pretend you own the place. A girl can dream, right?
Last but not least, my love hate relationship with the Brooklyn Bridge. If you’re looking for a crowded tourist trap where you might get hit by a bicycle, it’s the perfect spot. On the other hand, if you’re also looking to end your shoot with a sunset glow, an ocean (like) breeze, and a view that nowhere else in town can offer, it can be a lot of chaotic fun. Also really good for the occasional proposal 🙂

I’ve been a little too lucky this year, having a handful of close friends getting married in all these wild and beautiful places. To top it off at the wedding this week, I went through high school with half of the bridal party. And might I add, we’re all totally still as hot as we were at 19 ; )
